Many of you are undoubtedly aware of the financial climate both nationally and internationally, which is having an adverse effect on many businesses, both large and small.
Wright Associates Limited has not been immune to the current recession and have been unfortunate to accrue a large number of bad debts as a result of fees not being paid, many of which are of a high value.
This, along with the downturn in work, has lead to the unfortunate situation, where as Company Director I sadly been forced to put the company into liquidation, for which action is currently pending.
Ironically, it was only last month that Wright Associates Limited won an award from Mendip District Council ‘for the recognition of their high standards in partnership working with Mendip District Council’. After 10 years as Director of Wright Associates Limited, growing the company to a size which, at its peak only last year, it employed 10 people as well as providing work for several contract people and projects for many consultants; it is sad that matters have reached such a point. However, this is clearly a reflection of the current financial climate as much of our work involves property, which has been particularly hard hit by the inability of many to finance such projects.
